When it comes to working out, I’m all about keeping things as easy as possible before and after my work out.  I mean, if I’m getting my butt kicked at the gym I don’t want to mess around with forgetting items!  I try to avoid going straight from a workout to any social gatherings, but sometimes happy hour is calling my name!  On days when I need to run errands or go meet friends after working out, I like to keep a few key items in my gym bag to make the transition as easy as possible.  Here, I’m sharing my gym bag essentials that will make going from the gym to happy hour a breeze!

  • Sneakers – If you’re running errands, sneakers are the way to go!  If you can find a pair to transition from your workout, even better.  My workout of choice is yoga, so I don’t wear any shoes while I’m working out.  However, I recently picked up some new sneaks {this pair is similar} since they’re perfect for running errands and an adorable “athleisure” look.
  • Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant – You guys know I’m a huge fan of Dove, so when they asked me to partner with them to try their new spray antiperspirant I of course said YES!  I’ve gotta say, I’m a huge fan of this product.  One of my biggest pet peeves is when a deodorant leaves white residue under the arms, or even worse… on your clothes!  The Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant goes on clear and is instantly dry, which means you don’t need to waste any time while getting ready!
  • Dry Shampoo – I’m a firm believer in not washing your hair every day, but after a workout it’s important to refresh your hair to get rid of any sweat/dirt/etc.  I love keeping a mini dry shampoo in my gym bag so I can freshen up my hair after a workout, without washing it!
  • Water Bottle – This one may seem obvious, but having a great water bottle is important for before, during and after your workout!  Especially if you’re heading off to happy hour {or even just running errands} it’s essential to hydrate after a work out.
  • Face Wipes – I absolutely cannot workout with makeup on, so I keep face wipes in my gym bag to make sure I can remove any makeup before a workout.  They are also great if you’re working out somewhere without a shower or sink, since you’ll be able to clean your skin quickly and easily!
  • Towel – Especially since I am doing hot yoga most days, a towel is essential for me during my workouts.  If I’m heading somewhere after my sweat session, I like to keep an extra towel on hand to use for a shower, washing my face or even to just freshen up.
